How to Create a Ledger Recovery Login?

Ledger Recover service—an optional, paid backup subscription that securely stores encrypted fragments of your Secret Recovery Phrase. This allows you to regain access to your crypto if your original phrase is lost or stolen. Here is a step-by-step guide to creating your Ledger Recovery login.

Step 1: Open the Ledger Wallet App

Open the Ledger Wallet™ application (formerly known as Ledger Live) on your desktop or mobile device.

Step 2: Navigate to Ledger Recover

On the desktop app: Click the [L] Recover option in the left sidebar.
On the mobile app: Tap the explore icon at the top of the screen, then select Ledger Recover. Alternatively, go to My Ledger in the bottom right corner.

Step 3: Start Your Free Trial

Click on "Start your free trial" to begin the subscription process.

Step 4: Create Your Login Credentials

Click "Create my login".
Select the country where your passport or national ID was issued and confirm.
Select and confirm your billing address country.
Enter your email address—you will receive a verification link.
Open the email on your phone and tap the verification link.
Create a password for your Ledger Recover login.

Step 5: Add Payment Details

Enter your credit or debit card information. If you have a redeem code from an annual subscription plan, you can apply it at this stage.

Step 6: Verify Your Identity

You will need to complete an identity verification process by providing a photo of your ID and a short facial recognition video. This can take from a few hours to a few days.
